Frequently Asked Questions

Call 917-355-4569 for a sample and install it on the door that receives the most traffic in the building.

Q: From what I understand, we keep our original mortise lock in the door and just add the Option2 lever conversion set.
A: Yes. Why throw out a perfectly good mortise. A new mortise lock and trim set is $600.00. Install our lever for $185.00 with better results.
Q: How strong is your Option2 lever set compared to the other major hardware brands?
A: Nothing on the market compares to ours. All ANSI Grade 1 tests on our lever surpassed the requirement for ANSI Grade 1 by five times what was required!
Q: We installed a major brand name mortise lock set in our apartment building. We are constantly replacing levers with lever sag. It’s ongoing. Does your lever have problems with lever sag?
A: No. Because of our patented 1” long bearing surface and heavy-duty escutcheon spring, you will NEVER have lever sag. In the last 15 years of making this product we have NEVER had a return
Q: Are your lever sets stamped steel, like other manufacturers?
A: No. Our complete set; escutcheon and lever are heavy duty castings.
Q: How long does installation take, per door?
A: Most installers say 20-30 minutes per door. They love the simplicity of installing our product.
Q: How long have you been manufacturing architectural door hardware?
A: Over 35 years designing and manufacturing
Q: What kind of warranty do you offer?
A: Lifetime warranty. Also, parts are free, and shipping is free. (FEDEX ground) No other hardware company does this.
Q: How do we start our conversion program with Option2
A: Tell us the name of the lock to convert; Like, Corbin, Arrow, Sargent, Yale, Best, Lockwood etc. Tell us the handing and function, and that’s it! Install the sample on your busiest door.
